Amon RA 1.5.3

Recently Amon RA recovery for HTC Hero was updated to 1.5.3.1, in this short blog I will give a step by step guide in order to update it without any problem.

Any action on your device is your choice, I’m not responsible of any damage!

First of all what’s new in Amor RA 1.5.3.1?

Fixed ext restore issues

Added power off menu item
Fixed sapphire trackback confirmation
Made HOME-key confirmation less sensitive
Updated busybox to v1.5.3
Nandroid menu options will NOT backup or restore recovery, cache, misc, splash1+2 (to avoid issues)

What do you need?

  1. Ok let’s start; download recovery-RA-hero-v1.5.3.1.img and put it to your sdcard
    c:\android-sdk\tools> adb push recovery-RA-hero-v1.5.3.1.img /sdcard
  2. Boot your Hero into recovery mode (Home+Power)
  3. Connect USB
  4. From prompt command execute
    c:\android-sdk\tools> adb shell
  5. In the shell
    #mount -a
    #flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-hero-v1.5.3.1.img
  6. Reboot your device
